Figma is a browser-based design tool for interfaces and prototypes where a whole team edits the same file at once. It grew on a free tier for individuals and charges per editor, later per seat type, for teams and organizations.

GitHub hosts code for most of the software world and sells collaboration, security and admin features on top of free public and private repositories. It charges per user per month for organizations and has kept its Enterprise list price unchanged since 2016.

Slack is the team messaging tool that replaced internal email for much of the software industry. Channels, threads, calls and thousands of integrations sit on a freemium model where the free tier limits message history and the paid tiers are priced per active user.

Trello is the kanban board app from Atlassian. Cards move across lists, and the paid plans add automation, views like timeline and calendar, and admin controls. It has kept a generous free tier for its entire life.
