Slack is the team messaging tool that replaced internal email for much of the software industry. Channels, threads, calls and thousands of integrations sit on a freemium model where the free tier limits message history and the paid tiers are priced per active user.

Zoom is the video meetings product that became a verb in 2020. It has always sold per host: a free tier with a meeting time limit, a Pro plan for individuals and small teams, and Business and Enterprise tiers with admin controls and larger meetings.

- Each plan gets a compound yearly rate of change between its first and latest observed list price within the last 36 months. The 6 and 12 month figures apply that rate to the latest price. Plans moving more than 100 percent a year are not projected, and a plan needs at least three observations spanning nine months. It is arithmetic on past list prices, not a forecast of what any company will do.
